The Green Knight is a mysterious Knight that can be recruited during Sir Gawain's quest. During the quest, you find the Lady Isleut and talk with her. If you are a believer in the Old Faith then tell her that her place is here, and you will get the option of recruiting the Green Knight. The Green Knight has high magical talent when you first recruit it to your Round Table.

The Green Knight is mutually exclusive with both Sir Gawain and Sir Tristan.

Usage & Strategy[]

Magical Balance is a fantastic spell for neutralising enemy casters. Note that it isn't quite as good as the tooltip says - you lose the listed percentage of your current MP, not the listed number of MP. See Sir Percivale for further discussion.

His Elemental Power trait is unfortunate, because you generally want your Sages on horses and attached to your fastest light cav, and you don't want them in combat, so the HP bonus is (hopefully) not relevant. Similarly, 3 ranks of Regeneration is more HP than you will need. Other than Regen, all of his SPs are well placed, and once Magical Balance is capped, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Speculation[]

The Green Knight is a mysterious entity being neither Human nor Sidhe. It is possibly the spirit of Bedegraine Forest or an entity that believes it is. Other theories include it being the spirit of a Druid imprisoned within the forest.
